How to connect Elvium and Zenegy — and avoid duplicate entries once and for all

This guide will help you connect Elvium’s recruitment system and HR system with Zenegy’s payroll system.
Does this sound familiar? A new employee has just been hired at Elvium. The documents have been signed, the start date has been agreed upon, and now the work begins: entering the same information into Zenegy all over again—name, email, address, phone number, start date, and so on.

What does the Elvium × Zenegy integration do?
The integration connects the two systems so that employee data is automatically transferred from Elvium to Zenegy the moment a candidate is hired.
This means:
- One-click export: name, email, address, phone number, and start date are automatically transferred
- No manual setup required in Zenegy: employees are ready for payroll processing from day one
- Two-way synchronization: you choose whether Elvium or Zenegy is the “master”
- Automatic payroll synchronization: Payroll data is updated on the 1st and 15th of each month and displayed in Elvium’s HR module
Before you get started — here’s what you’ll need
Before you begin the setup, you'll need three pieces of information from Zenegy
Developer Portal:
- API key
- API secret key
- Service Agency
You can find these by logging in to the Zenegy Developer Portal and navigating to API settings. If you do not have access to the portal, your Zenegy administrator will need to assist you with this step.
NOTE: The wait time for API credentials from Zenegy may vary. Be sure to request them well in advance of setup.
Step-by-step: Setting up the Zenegy integration in Elvium
Step 1: Log in to Elvium and open the integration settings
Go to Settings → Integrations → Zenegy in your Elvium account (watch the video here).
Step 2: Enter your API credentials at
. Fill in the three fields with your information from the Zenegy Developer Portal.
Step 3: Hire your first candidate and see it in action

- What if the employee already exists in Zenegy?
No problem. The integration matches records via email and does not create duplicates. Existing data is not overwritten. It’s easy to create a new employee in the HR system and retrieve payroll information from Zenegy (watch the video here). - Can I use the integration even if Zenegy is the “master” for payroll?
Yes. You choose the synchronization direction yourself and can adjust the setting at any time (watch the video here). - What if I make a mistake during setup?
